My buddy and I were both in the mood for fried chicken so he told me to find a place near work for us to go get some. I wanted to avoid some of the usual suspects, and came across Prince and it's high reviews. So I decided to give it a shot. The place doesn't look like much from the outside - your typical chicken take out joint. There's barely any seating inside but it's not the type of place where you hang out from what I can tell. It's pretty basic inside with a chest of drinks and a simple counter. The menu is mostly focused on chicken and with good reason - they make it really, really well. We took our orders back to work with us and after opening the bags, others in the office were immediately intrigued by what we had brought back. I'm not sure what they season it with, or what they fry it in, but the fried chicken was absolutely delicious. Very juicy with a thin but perfectly crisp crust and a great flavor. The only downside is that the sides were meh. The mashed potatoes were the same as you'd get at any chicken place (KFC, Popeyes) and the biscuit was dry and uninspiring. But man was that chicken fantastic. So, pick up a chicken meal or just get some chicken and make your own sides - this place is a diamond in the rough.
